Jeff “JT” Bottoms

JT is an accomplished entrepreneur, consultant and business development strategist utilizing his passion and knowledge of the outdoor / fishing industry to develop the conceptualization of Apex Branding Partners. Prior to co-founding Apex, JT was the Director of New Business Development and Branding for an Ecommerce giant out of NYC. He led the company in delivering over $20MM in revenue and was instrumental in developing a highly successful Amazon and Marketplace program for their partners. In addition, JT owned and operated Xtreme Charters Inc., a Houston based company that chartered all-inclusive fishing charters in Central America, South America, New Zealand and the Texas Gulf Coast. During that time, he was a two-time nominated representative for the IGFA Rep for El Salvador.  JT also helped develop the IGFA sanctioned marlin tournament in Bahia Del Sol in Costa Del Sol, El Salvador. Over the past 20+ years, he has utilized his business experience and extensive networking and marketing skills to maximize ad spend dollars to achieve higher profits for clients in the digital and retail marketplaces, making him a highly sought-after digital strategist.

JT is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and holds a degree in Marketing. He is a devoted family man residing in Houston with his newlywed wife, three daughters, a “bonus” son and “bonus” daughter. JT is a faith and family man, ambitious businessman, and passionate about hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Jimmy Jongebloed

Jimmy is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader Jimmy graduated from the University of Texas with a business degree in marketing and received his JD from the University of Houston School of Law. He also holds a Series 65 SEC License.

Jimmy practiced law in the 90s before becoming a full time entrepreneur and launching Trucolor Sunglasses and Neverlost Readers in the early 2000s. His experience growing these brands and developing infomercials lead him to the opportunity of working with Kevin Harrington, the Original Shark from the ABC hit show Shark Tank. Jimmy and Kevin have worked together as partners over the past 5 years bringing products and brands to market such as Peeps, Glow Bowl, I-Grow, Celsius Fitness DrinkRX2 Live, and many others.

Joe Shults

Joe is a legend in the hunting and outdoor industry having built six successful businesses, including a hunting and fishing store, and a highly respected personal brand over the past 30 years. For decades, top brands in the hunting, fishing, and outdoors industry have trusted Joe’s expertise and insights in the design and development of new products. He is also a lifetime hunter and has field tested many of these products.

Joe brings over 23 years of extensive business experience to the APEX team. He has extensive experience video production for products, branding, advertising and marketing. He was with Drury Outdoors for 21 years on several DVD's and the TV show Dream Season, The Journey and has co-owns his own digital series The Rival.

Mark Timm

Mark is a serial entrepreneur and Amazon sales expert. In addition to his role on the

APEX team, Mark is the Executive Vice President of Ziglar Inc. and co-owner of Cottage Garden Inc., a company that he has grown to be a top 100 Worldwide Amazon reseller and the #1 supplier of musical gift products in North America. His proven strategies have helped clients protect their price integrity, improve reseller relationships, and increase profitability on the Amazon platform. Mark is the trusted go-to Amazon expert for top CEOs and brands including Kevin Harrington, original shark on the hit ABC tv show Shark Tank. Before beginning his entrepreneurial career, Mark honed his business and marketing skills while working in the White House, for USA Today, and for Kellogg’s.

Mark is a faith and family man who is passionate about empowering business leaders to create the family environment they desire - using the same skills that have brought them success in business - to gain the clarity and confidence necessary to win at home with their families. He lives with his wife and six children (yes, six kids!) in Bainbridge, Indiana.

AJ Adams

AJ is a branding expert and social media influencer who has consulted and managed digital brands for celebrities, CEOs, and $100MM lifestyle brands. He has appeared in Huffington Post and been featured on ABC, shared the stage with some of the world’s top experts and speakers including Les Brown and Kevin Harrington. Clients rave about AJ’s ability to bring crystal clarity to their brands and create actionable strategies that drive real results for their business. His expertise in branding and social media have been honed through nearly a decade of building his own brand and businesses and those of his clients.

A former youth pastor, AJ brings the same sense of mission and passion for serving others to his work with clients. He likes to say, “Relationship is the true currency of business, so we should always pursue impact over income.”

Before he was a branding expert and sought-after speaker, AJ was just a shy kid growing up in the islands hunting coconut crabs and spearfishing on the coastal reefs of the Marianas. Today, AJ lives in sunny Phoenix, Arizona with his wife of ten years and their three children.

Harold Walters

Harold is an ecommerce optimization and paid advertising expert and coach who has worked directly with and consulted for various 6 and 7 figure brands. In the last year and a half he has successfully built  his own 6 figure ecommerce brands selling physical products. He possesses a unique ability to understand, strategize, and implement complex technical solutions that have a direct impact on businesses bottom line. 

Harold got his start in the digital marketing industry over 10 years ago as a web developer. Just over two years ago, he dived into the ecommerce industry and generated over half a million dollars in revenue in just a few months with own ecommerce store. In the last year and a half he and his students have generated over a combined $5MM in revenue selling physical products using social media advertising. His technical experience combined with his social media marketing strategies is the perfect mix for clients looking to make an impact online.

While he loves creating marketing strategies, he makes sure his wife of 5 years and his two daughters never forget they are his priority. In addition to his work in business, he also oversees the digital media team at his local church.

Alexandra McHugh

Alex got an early start on her career, working as an event manager in the hospitality industry through high school and college. This led Alex to pursue marketing and international relations degrees from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. While studying at IU, she transitioned from hospitality to working full time for an e-commerce firm. It was there she managed all sales and marketing. During this time Alex gained valuable experience overseeing their wholesale division and spearheading their international marketplace expansion.

After college, Alex spent two years in corporate healthcare sales, providing hospitals with all of their non-clinical product needs. Not wanting to take her finger off the pulse of the marketing industry, she also worked as a consultant for both non-profits and start-ups. Today she is the Director of Amazon Operations for APEX, focused on growing relationships with our partners and managing our e-commerce sales model.

Alex is dedicated to living life on purpose, with passion and empowering others to do the same. If she is not fishing or hiking, much of her time away from the office is spent working to implement sustainable change in rural Honduran villages with Humanity and Hope United.
